VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the heart and soul of any strong, vibrant, successful, and enduring organization. At CBAC, volunteering is integral, and our volunteers play a crucial role in the Council’s rich and continuing history. CBAC relies on its volunteers to provide the following essential services:

Friendly Visits:

Volunteers make friendly visits to isolated members at home, in hospitals, and in nursing homes, providing much-needed companionship and support.

Accompaniment:

Volunteers accompany members to and from medical and other appointments, ensuring they have the support they need during these essential outings.

Daily Telephone Calls:

Volunteers make daily telephone calls to ensure the security of shut-ins, members with reduced mobility, and the ailing, offering reassurance and checking on their well-being.

Activity Reminders:

Volunteers also call members to remind them of upcoming activities, helping them stay connected and engaged with the community.

In addition to these services, volunteers assist in the Council's recreational, social, cultural, and educational activities and provide transportation when necessary.

Many of our volunteers who have been pillars of CBAC over the years now need the same services they once rendered. As such, new volunteers are always welcome and necessary to continue the work of the Council.

If you are interested in volunteering and making a difference in the lives of our members, please contact us to learn how you can get involved.
